Old World Kitchen & Guest Bath
On this project, my clients were going for a modern twist on old world charm for their kitchen and bath remodel but after a costly and unplanned fix to their foundation we knew we were going to need to be extra careful with how we chose and designed with our materials. Beautiful large porcelain tiles that have a worn-distressed look were selected for the Kitchen floor. Not only do they make the room they are maintenance free and kept us on budget. Simple but elegant handcrafted glossy white tiles were used on the backsplash to compliment the honed slab of Calcutta Oro and the stainless steel appliances. For their Guest Bath the main areas of focus were on the light from the window, the wash stand and the fittings for a simple but traditional look. A hexagon porcelain tile for the floor and a flat subway tile in the shower was all that was needed along with a clean shower door to make this guest bath bright, open and inviting. by Katie Parks

Working with Katie allowed me to leave the difficult details of pulling together our kitchen and bathroom renovation to an expert on design details that gave us beautiful results on our floors, counter tops, hardware and tile. Her experience was necessary and her knowledge of the industry important in order to deal with numerous outside vendors that needed to meet strict deadlines. We finished our renovation a year ago, but still receive many compliments about the results of her work which I attribute her years of experience and strong relationships she has with her vendors.
